OathLock for Android

Direct download for Android 8 and newer. Blocks apps and websites, and also protects OathLock from being uninstalled during a session.

Install

  1. Open this page on your phone and tap Download for Android.
  2. Open the downloaded file. If Android asks, allow installs from your browser or Files app.
  3. If Google Play Protect warns about an unknown app, tap More details, then Install anyway.
  4. Open OathLock and follow the setup steps.

Good to know

  • Updates: download the new file and install it over the old one. Your lists, sessions and schedules stay.
  • OathLock Pro: buy it in OathLock from Google Play, then sign in here with the same account.
  • The Google Play version, when it comes, is a separate app. Uninstall this one after your sessions end if you switch.

OathLock Desktop for Windows

For Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). The companion to the OathLock Chrome extension: it keeps the extension installed in Chrome, Edge and Brave, and during a session blocks your sites in every browser on the computer, even without the extension. Schedules start even when Chrome is closed.

Install

  1. Run the downloaded file and allow it to make changes (it needs administrator rights).
  2. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Install the OathLock Chrome extension too (coming soon to the Chrome Web Store); OathLock Desktop gets your sessions and schedules from it.

Good to know

  • While it's installed, your browsers show "Managed by your organization". That's how it keeps the extension in place.
  • It can't be uninstalled while a session is running. After that, remove it in Settings > Apps.
  • A VPN or proxy that looks up addresses itself (such as Opera's built-in VPN) can get around the block in browsers without the extension.
